The Margins brings together four artists offering unique and compelling approaches to abstraction.  A traditional understanding of abstraction implies a rejection of realist representation.  The artists present viewers with a collective renunciation of the concept of perspective and an attempt to manipulate their 'realities' by a variety of means. The removal of mundane visual references from everyday life is a constant in the works of all four artists who all developed creatively in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and are a part of the culture and the artistic fabric of the city.
